I saw the first mention of this on the Daily Kos, but they are referencing a New York Times Sunday Magazine article. In a nutshell:

Conservative activists on the Texas Board of Education say that the authors of the Constitution intended the United States to be a Christian nation. And they want America’s history textbooks to say so.

It is withouth a doubt, one of the most frightening things I’ve read in a while.
